The Gleaves are a young married couple, living on the road, writing and performing music together. Their beautifully unique style blends folk, country and americana influences, exhibited through assured finger style, soaring lead guitar playing and immaculate harmonies.
With hints of 60s and 70s folk and country, Chloe’s intricate fingerpicking flows beneath her warm, angelic voice. Her pure tone and crisp vocal control delivers her poignant lyrics, turning complex struggles and reflections into wonderfully written imagery. The title track of The Gleaves debut album ‘Like an Echo’, as heard on BBC Introducing, is a brilliant example.
Raised on the border of London, in the Essex town of Romford, Josh began his musical career at the age of 10, immersing himself in the local music scene and busking on the high street. Josh has spent 12 years building his impeccable guitar skills and powerful vocal range, supporting KT Tunstall following his EP release at just 17 years old. His writing style showing influences of Americana and country story telling. After meeting Chloe at an open mic, the pair began making music together immediately.
Since officially becoming a duo in 2024, they have been mesmerising audiences globally. They released their debut album ‘Like An Echo’ in 2025, selling out their album launch show at The Acorn Theatre in Penzance and most recently revisiting their roots for their sold out show at Green Note in Camden. The return from their European busking tour sets them at the start of a string of festivals in the UK such as Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Broadstairs Folk Week and The British Country Music Festival.
The Gleaves are on a mission to spread their music as they travel in their van, organising shows and busking through countries. Currently working on their second album, The Gleaves look forward to sharing their new material in 2027.
